•  I’ve almost purchased Photojojo’s simple Flash Bounce [diffuser] for my DSLR a few times, but am now glad I abstained - here’s a super-easy tutorial over at Coffee+Velvet for making a diffuser [which, at this point, suits my not-even-remotely-serious-photography-hobby needs perfectly]! Here’s my attempt:

*EDIT: The cutting/ fitting of the DIY diffuser is not an exact science – to ensure mine stayed on, I wrapped a rubber band around the pop-up flash for gripping power.

Side Thought: Come to think of it, the Flash Bounce doesn’t look too difficult to make – I’ll brainstorm a few attempts & report back with results.

• I’m a huge fan of anatomy/ science-inspired art [favorite related site: Street Anatomy], so it’s no surprise that these curious prints over at Sweet Peach have my attention – I can’t get over the ostrich! Bonus: Sweet Peach linked over to the Curious Prints Etsy shop, which just happened to be where the cephalopod print I’d stumbled across on my internet travels originated! I’m thinking I’ll have to own it very soon…

• I have a couple of branches I’ve been wanting to do something with (initial idea: some sort of mobile/ wind chime – meets – handy jewelry hanger) & was linked by a lovely lady to this article over at My Home Life with a few ideas. I have high hopes for this rough draft I have floating around my brain… we’ll see how it turns out!

• HOLY COW I stumbled across this branch-themed post over at Dearest Nature… I’m in love.
